To A New Humanity (Noah to Israel)
Luke 24:26-27 (ESV)
Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer? [27] And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
The Bible tells the story of God’s mission to restore humanity to who we were always meant to be through Jesus Christ.
Abraham: In Abraham, God finds a man who will obey his voice, and his offspring will become a “Prototypical People” who will live God’s way, through whom all nations will be blessed.
Four aspects of Abraham’s blessing:
- Descendants
- Land
- Eternal Relationship (covenant)
- Blessing of the Nations through him
